What do you think of this kind of election reform?
Q. First off eliminate all political parties, everyone runs as a Independent, anyone who is a citizens can run, each canidate establishes a web presence so that voters can study their policies, no advertisement is allowed. The first round of runoff voting is held, all winners make it to the second round and third round until only a small number remain. then debates are held on public tv, no ad blitzes on tv so that those with the most money get a leg up or get to bash any other canidates and no bashing ads are allowed like swift boat ads. then a round of instant runoff voting is held to determine the winner. Plus we can do this on the internet with 64 bit encription, each voter has a login user name and card to swipe. this would get us a… [cont.]

A. So basically any candidate with enough money to run national TV ads in three months will win. not good. How about this. The top 3 states with the highest voter turnout in the previous election (votes cast / tax returns filed) goes first, second and third, and then there are 3 super primaries one for east coast, one for central and one for pacific and they rotate those each year.

A. By 1912, Progressives demonstrated their power and influence through the widespread adoption of their principles by both political parties and in the creation of a third party the Progressive Party that claimed to embody the movement itself. Progressive social-democratic reforms instituted important changes in American political life and ameliorated some of the worst abuses in the industrial workplace.
