Bad Politicians

Welcome to BadPoliticians.com! BadPoliticians.com is a highly categorized in-depth informational resource for all terms related to Bad Politicians, Political Corruption and Government Operations. About us.

Political corruption is the use of legislated powers by government officials for illegitimate private gain. Misuse of government power for other purposes, such as repression of political opponents and general police brutality, is not considered political corruption. Neither are illegal acts by private persons or corporations not directly involved with the government. An illegal act by an officeholder constitutes political corruption only if the act is directly related to their official duties.

Forms of corruption vary, but include bribery, extortion, cronyism, nepotism, patronage, graft, and embezzlement. While corruption may facilitate criminal enterprise such as drug trafficking, money laundering, and trafficking, it is not restricted to these activities.

The activities that constitute illegal corruption differ depending on the country or jurisdiction. For instance, certain political funding practices that are legal in one place may be illegal in another. In some cases, government officials have broad or poorly defined powers, which make it difficult to distinguish between legal and illegal actions. Worldwide, bribery alone is estimated to involve over 1 trillion US dollars annually. A state of unrestrained political corruption is known as a kleptocracy, literally meaning "rule by thieves".

How bad will the situation in Puerto Rico have to get before the politicians put aside their pettiness?
Q. It is amazing how callous are Puerto Rican politicians with few exceptions and unconcerned they are about the serious problems of the poor. They are letting the public schools go to the blazes (although they do start token projects and make lovely visits around election time.) The serious budget crisis caused the politicians to close the schools early and to make cuts in almost all other areas which directly affect the poor. Did any of those elegant people take a pay cut or propose to cut back on their benefits? (BTW, Puerto Rican politicians are some of the best paid in the US if you consider pay and fringe benefits and especially the fact that they get very juicy contracts and consulting jobs if they lose an election or move back to the… [cont.]

A. Wow! lacangrinumberone (a name taken out of the rappers and reggeaton subculture) doesn't know how to express herself or write a grammatically correct sentence! What an example of an uneducated, ignorant person. I truly hope she's not Puertorrican, as I know many extremely well educated Puertorrican professionals that would feel ashamed to be "represented" by such a person. To answer your question, this issue is provoked by an incompetent psychotic individual called Pedro Rosello, an ex-governor of the island. This assshole lost the previous election in which he ran as candidate for a third term as governor, but he retained the presidency of the political party that won control of the legislature. He openly has defied the current… [cont.]

A. lower standards are easier attack people who speak of having higher standards to delegitimize the entire effort, to make yourself easier to live with in your own eyes. If you can do that, now YOU are the one with the highest recognized legitimate standard of moral conduct and since its so universal now, nobody notices that the bar just got lower.
